ELCOVISION 10 uses a new algorithm that allows to calculate a 3D point from each pixel of an image. Each 3D point is the result of a so-called forward cut, so ELCOVISION 10 masters this process very well and can generate point clouds in almost laser scan quality. Even the reconstruction of facades from aerial images taken almost vertically downwards is now possible, even if these show the facades only in very steep views or only at the image edges
Up to 30° convergence angle (shooting angle) between two images.
This gives you much more margin in case the images are not overlapped well enough: The automatic image orientation works even in cases that previously could only be oriented manually. If you have even larger convergence angles between 2 images, or if you have an extremely poor image quality, you can still manually orient the images to the image composite, here convergence angles between 2 images of up to 170° are possible without any problems.

**ELCOVISION 10 **fully automatically calculates highly accurate and highly detailed 3D models and point clouds in near laser scan quality from images taken by normal cameras or drones. Photograph any object with any higher quality camera. You can use all kinds of lenses such as normal or fisheye lenses, even cell phone cameras may give good results. If you use a stereo camera like the Leica BLK3D, you will automatically get a correctly scaled and aligned photo block. Take photos by hand, with a tripod, aerial photos from drones or from airplanes, ELCOVISION 10 will process all images, the only requirement is that you have enough image overlap and the images are of reasonably good quality. These images are then simply imported into ELCOVISION 10. The software then analyzes the images and automatically calculates the so-called image orientation, calibrates the camera(s) and, if desired, calculates a high-density point cloud of the object itself. As a user, you only have to define the desired coordinate system and then the results can be read directly into a CAD or exported to other applications.
