Local CRS
With crsTools Local CRS georeferenced site plans from different coordinate systems (UTM, Gauss-Krüger) can be transformed into a practically distortion-free local coordinate system. And back again. Thus, one works with real lengths and dimensions corresponding to the locality.

🗺️ Maps and geoinformation
This module works independently from other professional applications of cseTools (e.g. sewer or pipeline planning). The solution can be used to provide and manage basic information in the same way. So also for completely different projects within the CAD.

About the software
With crsTools Local CRS georeferenced site plans from different coordinate systems (UTM, Gauss-Krüger) can be transformed into a practically distortion-free local coordinate system. And back again. Thus, one works with real lengths and dimensions corresponding to the locality.
Since coordinate systems always refer to a fixed division of the geoid (round earth) into x° wide strips, large differences of the lengths and surface dimensions between CAD site plan and locality can occur.
The solution
With crsTools - Local CRS this problem is solved by transforming the CAD site plan into a practically distortion-free local coordinate system.
LCRS is the abbreviation for "Local Coordinate Reference System". Thus, like the UTM, it is a "transverse Mercator projection."
The difference is that the LCRS projection is variable and always lies in the distortion-free range of the project center. Thus, distortions in the 2mm/km range arise only at very large project extents of about 25 km. This is a much smaller deviation than when working with UTM coordinates.
