Advanced Polyline labelling & annotation tools

GeoTools offer advanced tools for polyline labeling and annotations in creative and innovative ways.

• The segment labeling tools allows you to place distances, dimensions, bearings, slopes, running numbers or a combination of them in a wide variety of imaginable ways.

• The angle labeling tools allow you to represent the interior or exterior angles of polylines in multiple ways.

• The vertex labeling tools allows you to place running numbers, cumulative segment distances, coordinate annotations, stacked coordinates and more along each vertex of the polyline.

Fine control can be achieved over the exact placement and annotation characteristics of the labels. The label positioning tools allow you to place these segment labels on the segment, above or below it, or perpendicular to it.

Map Data clean-up, linear/ polygon network tools

GeoTools allows several common map creation (digitizing), editing, cleanup and annotation operations to be easily performed within the CAD environment.

Map digitizing errors like under-shoots and over-shoots, dangle errors, weeding of extra vertices based on defined map criteria can be easily done using GeoTools.

Intersection cleanup and resolution, topology building, boundary detection and centroidal annotations can be easily handled using GeoTools.

Several design rules and criteria applied to linear and polygonal networks can be easily handled using GeoTools.

All data clean-up and optimization techniques found in AutoCAD Map like polyline vertex weeding, densification, fixing of overshoots and under-hangs, intersection cleanup based on snapping etc. are handled by GeoTools in an effective manner. Independent snapping of points in 2D and/or 3D is possible and all operations preserve all attached entity data like XDATA, object data, attributes etc.

Civil and Survey Data Import / Export tools

GeoTools provides a variety of tools to import and export survey data in CSV, TAB, column-wise or stacked data formats.

All attached data like block attributes, xdata, GeoTools object tables, AutoCAD Map object data and CAD properties are easily handled and carried forward during the import or export process.

It is also possible to convert geographical coordinates from decimal degrees to degree-minute-seconds and vice-versa.

Geographic Coordinates conversion:

GeoTools offers complete coordinate conversion from UTM to lat-Long and back, even on the Lite version of BricsCAD, plain AutoCAD (not Map) and the Standard version of ZWCAD also.

Google Earth Interaction (Export/Import):

GeoTools offers complete integration with Google Earth and allows KML/KMZ data import and export of vector data. This runs in the Lite version of BricsCAD also, in addition to plan AutoCAD, ZWCAD and ARES Commander versions.

It is also possible to extract viewport image from Google Earth and bring it into CAD with georeferencing.
