TRIC-module GAEB
In addition to the usual output formats, it is often indispensable, or at least sensible, to use a standardised GAEB interface for the secure exchange of data, especially for tendering, awarding and invoicing (AVA). The TRIC® module GAEB offers the possibility for this and exports the data from the GA software into a file for all common formats. Product data, cable and connection data, but also physical and common inputs/outputs, processing functions and management level can be exported in this way. Standardised electronic data exchange or transfer to your own AVA programme are no longer a problem.
What is a GAEB file anyway?
Since the mid-1980s, construction information has been exchanged by means of the GAEB (Gemeinsamer Ausschuss Elektronik im Bauwesen) file format. The electronic transfer of data relevant to construction offers enormous potential for saving time. Thanks to the GAEB data exchange via this system, secure documentation of the project is guaranteed. A key factor here is the elimination of manual input of information that has already been created. The "BVBS Data Exchange" working group of the Bundesverband Bausoftware e. V.q (BVBS for short) is responsible for quality management. Based on the respective construction progress, the relevant data can be exchanged between the actors involved in the construction. This ensures a smooth exchange of information between the respective parties and thus provides considerable potential in the area of time savings. In addition, there is also a minimisation of the susceptibility to errors when recording the data, which in turn additionally increases the efficiency of the project. If a project partner, e.g. the construction manager, has specified a list of services with estimated prices for the invitation to tender, the list can be read by the company interested in the construction work and processed by it. By entering the bid prices for the items (partial services) advertised in the bill of quantities, a bid file is created, which is sent back to the client.

The data export with TRIC® GAEB
Thanks to our flexible solution, data export can be carried out from any selected hierarchy level without any problems. For this purpose, either plant-by-plant grouped bills of materials or quantity lists can be used. In this way, bills of quantities can be generated both as plant bills of quantities and as total bills of quantities. This applies to the product export as well as to the export of cables and connections.
For the cable export, TRIC distinguishes between the different cable classes. These include: Standard, Fire Protection and Halogen Free. The terminals, in turn, are output separately on the basis of feed-through, disconnect and PE terminals. Before exporting, a manual assignment of cost groups can also be made. Following the completed product assignment, the GAEB structure can then be generated.
In addition to the compliant output of parts and quantity lists, function list contents and totals can also be output in GAEB format. Sections 1, 2, 3 to 6 and 7 and 8 can be selected and organised and exported accordingly.
